Precision born in 1865

Reimagined for the Battlefield of Tomorrow

Our story

160 Years of German Engineering. Reimagined for the 21st Century.

Kampnagel AG began as a machine factory and iron foundry in Hamburg in 1865. Its cranes and machines became integral to shipyards, harbors, and factories worldwide. For generations, Kampnagel cranes stood above the Elbe, lifting steel and goods that carried Germany’s economy to global markets.

The name became part of Hamburg’s industrial identity — as enduring as steel, as precise as German engineering itself.

Production ceased in the late 20th century, but the heritage remained. Today, the rebirth of Kampnagel AG carries this legacy into a new frontier: defense, robotics, and unmanned systems.
